MIKE SROKA is a highly respected photographer,
author and educator. Originally from the Chicago area, he is now
based in Victoria, British Columbia. His specialty is editorial and
corporate photography "on location". After earning a degree from
Brooks Institute, he worked for Shigeta Associates and the National
Safety Council in Chicago. As a freelance photographer Mike has
spent more than 30 years producing photographs for major
corporations, ad agencies, and magazines throughout North
America. |

Banff Tourism, Calgary Health Region, Calgary Stampede, Canadian
Press, Carewest, Decor Magazine, Husky Oil, Intrawest, NOVA, Parks Canada, Post

Mike has also worked with First Nations on several projects
including the Siksika Blackfoot Millennium Project (poster and
calendar), “Unconquered Hearts” (book cover), and "Three Chiefs", a
giclee print on handmade paper displayed at the Illingworth Kerr
Gallery in Calgary.

His fine-art work can be found in several
collections. Mike's landscapes of the American Southwest, funded
by a major Canadian grant, were the basis for a successful
public exhibition, two major magazine features, and a corporate
mural project. |
